WOMEN’S DEVELOPMENT CENTER
As part of the Shelter Care program in November & December 2010, HomeAid is providing 74 new twin mattresses donated by 1800Mattress. These beds will provide a comfortable and clean living environment for homeless women and children at five apartments buildings owned by Women’s Development Center on Cobb Lane in Las Vegas. In addition, Toll Brothers is donating Energy Star appliances (2 each: dishwasher, washer/dryer, refrigerator, microwave, range & hood). Depending upon financial availability, roof repair, retrofitting of stairs, painting and flooring are also being considered. Approximate Project Value: $90,000.
HomeAid is thrilled to be partners with the following non-profit housing providers: Boys Hope, Boys Town, Family Promise, Las Vegas Catholic Worker, Lutheran Social Services, St. Jude’s Ranch for Children & WestCare.
