We are happy to announce that registration for the 2013 Summerlin Half Marathon is now open!
The Summerlin Half Marathon is a beautiful scenic loop running through the incredible parks and communities of Summerlin. The course travels through 4 of Summerlin's best trail parks. Enjoy 'secret' paths filled with desert landscape. Run through tunnels and park settings nestled against the skyline of the Red Rock mountains. The course opens up to incredible views of the Las Vegas Strip then drops into lush parks filled with green.
Registration Fees:

$ 75.00 (09/01/2012 to 12/31/2012)
$ 85.00 (01/01/2013 to 04/11/2012)

Course:
The Summerlin Half Marathon course will start and finish at the beautiful JW Marriott Resort & Spa in the southeast parking lot. The first half mile is a slight incline that takes you out of the JW Marriott, up Canyon Run Drive to the entrance of the first park trail.
You will then enjoy the next 2 miles of downhill.
The following 4 miles are a gradual uphill of approximately 600 feet.
At approximately mile 5, you will encounter the Crestdale Bump! :) (this is a very short hill over the I-215 overpass)
The last 6.5 miles are a sweet downhill!…but, look out for Mt. Cottonwood at mile 10, another little bump coming out of the last park! :) At this point, kick in that extra energy reserve and push the last 3 miles downhill to cross the finish line…don’t forget to smile for the photographer!! :)
