Welcome to the Battle Born Trail Series 30K/ HALF/ 10K/ 5K! This is a fun and flat trail race at Washoe Lake State Park. We are so excited to finally have that beautiful lake full of water! This race is perfect for the first time trail runner or anyone going for speed. The course is a flat out and back on non-technical trails with the gorgeous views of the surrounding Nevada mountains.

COURSE & AID STATIONS
Runners will travel around Washoe Lake State Park. The course is a flat, beautiful out and back on jeep trails and single track trails with little to no technical footing. There are some sandy areas as well as some areas with “soft ground.” We suggest wearing trail gaiters if you have them, but they are not necessary.
The course will be very well marked with cones, arrows and orange flagging.
Water and Tailwind electrolyte drink will be available at all aid stations.

The park entrance fee is waived for all participants on race day!
When you enter the park, turn right and head towards the campgrounds and horse arenas to the North side of the park. The start/ finish line will be at the main picnic area and pavilion at the end of the road. We will have parking guides leading you into the proper parking areas around the pavilion. Please arrive early for parking and carpool whenever possible!

Take your first right into the park and follow the road down until you see parking attendants.
From Carson City:

BENEFITING THE NEVADA LOCAL ASSISTANCE TEAM (L.A.S.T.) PROGRAM
The Nevada Local Assistance State Team (L.A.S.T.) Program is a collaborative effort between local, state and Federal firefighting entities, and is made up of members who come from all areas of public safety. They are all passionate about helping those who have suffered the loss of or injury to a family or department member in the line of duty. This local team can respond quickly to help a family with funeral arrangements, provide an honor guard, counseling needs, and preparation of benefit claims. Funds raised are used to support the family’s needs during this difficult time.

Volunteers make our events possible!

Each volunteer will receive $10 race credit for every hour they work that can be used for future DSA events. Volunteers will also receive a volunteer t-shirt and food and drink vouchers.
